Yemeni wildflower and Sidr honey can add sweetness and aroma to everyday food. Start with small amounts and adjust for the honey and the dish, rather than treating one ratio as right for every jar.
A simple yoghurt bowl
For one serving, start with 150 g plain yoghurt and 1 teaspoon honey. Stir or drizzle, then add fruit to taste. Compare wildflower with Sidr Do’ani on another day to notice how the honey changes the same base. Add nuts only if suitable for everyone eating it.
A quick salad dressing
Whisk 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 tablespoon lemon juice and 1 teaspoon honey until combined. Taste and adjust the acidity or sweetness before dressing your salad. This is a starting ratio, not a preserved sauce: prepare it for the meal and keep food appropriately chilled when needed.

Honey with cheese
Put a small dish of honey beside the cheese and let each person add a little. Our cheese-and-honey guide explains more pairing ideas. A rich Do’ani or a multifloral wildflower can each work, depending on your preference.

For a Yemeni baking project, use our Bint al Sahn recipe. For a spread, see the quantities and method in honey butter. Use recipes developed for honey when baking, because it changes moisture and browning compared with dry sugar.
Once honey is mixed with dairy, water or fresh ingredients, follow the storage needs of the finished food. Honey does not make a homemade mixture shelf-stable. These serving suggestions are foods, not treatment routines, and honey-containing dishes must not be given to babies under 12 months.
